We’re going “off the books” for our usual weekly catch-up post. We won’t be doing Bookmarked links, but instead, I’m sharing 5 pictures from my life this past week.
one+ (Beach days) We live close to the beach, and we’re trying to spend more time there. We’re on the Atlantic, so the water isn’t as blue as in the Caribbean or on the Gulf side, but what a glorious day this was. It was hawtt but there’s a wind, shade under the tent, drinks in the cooler, and pure relaxation. The beach is my happy place.
two+ (Workday) I worked from home last week and this is my desk, a small glass table. For work organization, I’m using this July 2024-2025 Color Me Courtney Planner. In this, I write 3 things I’d like to accomplish each day and use the Monthly section for travel dates. I use these 4×6 sticky notes in the planner, or on the Sticky Notes app on my laptop. I also use a 2nd calendar on my laptop for work tasks and slot them in times in the day when there’s no meetings.
three+ (4th July Holiday). Day off for for US Independence Day so spent it hanging with friends at their community pool. A time was had! And also … donuts!
four+ (Fave Restaurant) I worked in Texas this week, and my go to restaurant for excellent seafood is Pappadeux. The food is always amazing. I also started leaving reviews on Yelp again – looks like I last did this in 2022! Does anyone still use this app?
five+ (Evenings by the Pool). I love going in the pool at the end of my work day this time of year because the water is so warm. I haven’t done it this week yet since I’ve been away in Texas for work, but best believe that this evening, Friday at precisely 5PM, my body will be immersed in the water, and a drink will be held aloft in my hand.
