How has your week been? What have you been reading lately? I finished a book from my My March TBR – Good Dirt, Charmaine Wilkerson, which I loved. I also went off-script on a sick day and flew through The Housemaid, and The Housemaid’s Secret by Freida McFadden – both of which I also enjoyed immensely. I can see why they are so popular … Now on to the 10+ bookish links I bookmarked recently.

one+ Just a reminder that voting is The Best Villains in Literature Bracket: The Final Showdown. It’s come down to Satan from Milton’s Paradise Lost vs O’Brien from 1984. Also The Tournament of Books continues through the rest of the month.
two+ It’s the month for mysteries, so I added some of the books on 6 Mysteries That Will Make You Turn Back to Page One to my ever expanding reading list. I’ve already read The Last House on Needless Street, Catriona Ward, and couldn’t agree more! That book was so twisty and worth re-reading. Also, here’s The Most Anticipated Mystery and Thriller Books of 2025.
three+ It’s also Women’s History Month, and some of you may decide to read more (or only) books by women this month. Love that, but you know I love dark reads, so how about something from Love to Hate Her: Novels About Destructive Women? You know – we’re not all good all the time 🙂
four+ What are your Most Anticipated Books of Spring 2025? I’ve shared My March TBR: New Releases for 2025 most of which come out in the Spring. But I’m adding one more – Sunrise on the Reaping, Suzanne Collins, which is the 5th book within the Hunger Games world.
five+ Read Let’s Discuss: My Beef with Romantasy and tell me if you agree or disagree? I agree … I’m not a fan of the new term “romantasy” for what is essentially fantasy books with romance. Why couldn’t we just let fantasy books have it’s moment?!
six+ Is it still feeling like Winter where you are (in the Northern hemisphere)? Or is it starting to feel like Spring? In case you still have Winter vibes, here’s 10 Wintery Horror Novels That Will Chill You to the Bone and Cozy Wintry Books To Read in 2025.
seven+ Would you ever go on a reading retreat? In the Caribbean? I soooo want to go on one of the BookofCinz Reading Retreats …. Grenada, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Anguilla or Dominica. Who’s with me? When are we going?
eight+ What are your Thoughts on Penguin’s “First Impressions” Editions of Jane Austen? I think the new covers look horrendous, and I get trying to make it more modern, but the books are classics … not modern … so let’s just leave it at that.
nine+ How do you track your reading? Or do you track it? Here’s a plug for tracking reading on spreadsheets -> Why I track my reading on spreadsheets. I use the websites – Goodreads and The StoryGraph – but I’ve also created a FREE 2025 Reading Challenge Tracker Spreadsheet for you.
ten+ One of my favorite book awards, The Nebula Awards finalists for 2024 have been announced. The only book on the Best Novel list I’ve read is A Sorceress Comes to Call, T. Kingfisher which I luvvved!
In case you missed it, this week Kim shared 4 Books to Read for March Mystery Madness and as I mentioned above, I shared My March TBR: New Releases for 2025.
