November 2024 Reading Plans

For November, there are way too many books I want to read. Here’s a look at what I plan on reading over the next month … or 2.

First up, there are the reading challenges I’m participating in. I’ve got 2 more letters left for the A to Z Book Titles 2024 Edition – “O” for which I’m reading Here for One Moment, Liane Moriarty (one of my favorite authors), and “X” for which I plan on reading The Ex Hex, Erin Sterling – a book by a “new to me” author.

I’m behind on the Scavenger Hunt TBR Book Challenge at 6/10 prompts. My next book needs to be 400-430 pages, so I’ve chosen The Teacher, Freida McFadden because I long to read something by this popular author. Following that, is a book with the same number of letters in the title, and The Lioness, Chris Bohjalian qualifies for both this and the November 2024 Motif Reading Challenge. The reviews are a mixed bag, but I couldn’t pass up a historical fictional novel set in Africa.

For the 2024 Key Word Reading Challenge I plan on reading Two Can Keep a Secret, Karen McManus (Keyword: Keep) and Under the Whispering Door, TJ Klune (December Keyword: Under).

My pick to read in honor of SciFiMonth2024 and Novellas in November is The Cybernetic Tea Shop, Meredity Katz, which is involves a fully autonomous root running a tea shop. Say less! This book literally screamed my name.

I never got to the Advanced Reader Copy of The Queen, Nick Cutter, which was released Aug. 27th, so that’s also on my radar. It’s a body horror book that involves insects … sounds creepy as hell! I’ve only read one other book by this author, The Troop, and that was horrific in the best way.

From October, I’m carrying over You Like It Darker, Stephen King. It’s a book of short stories which has been on my shelves for months, and I’d like to finish it by the end of the year.

That’s 9 books that I plan on reading in November … and beyond. What’s next on your reading list?
